A. Responsibilities
Responsible for interpreting and carrying out the prescription of the physician and assisting on updating Plans of Care; good public relations, protection of confidential data, good economic use of time, equipment, and supplies, safety and welfare of the client and other employees. Participating in QA activities as requested by the Clinic Director.
B. Knowledge
Must know the principles and practice of designated therapy; be familiar with the Code of Ethics; understand KDC's policies, procedures, and regulations. All Licensed Therapists need to have knowledge and follow all licensing Boards rules and regulations.
C. Skills
Must be able to apply the theory of practice; have the ability and competency to operate the necessary equipment; perform technical procedures as required; speak intelligently and in a professional manner before others.
D. Mental AppIication
Must be able to instill confidence in clients, doctors, and personnel; determine proper procedures and methods and evaluate results; make decisions independently; adapt to emergency situations; be alert to changes in the client's condition, and to activities of KDC.
E. Dexterity
Must have coordination of sight and body movements in various applications of procedures; know techniques of assisting and handling clients; be able to handle the tools and machines of the profession.
F. Accuracy
A high degree of accuracy is required in carrying out prescriptions, receiving and translating information, and charting and reporting.
G . Physical Demands
1. Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, lift, balance, sit, kneel, hear, reach, pull, talk, see, turn, carry, push, handle, and write. The degree to which any of these is done depends on the techniques being used. Activities are as follows : Must have good physical stamina; be fairly strong and energetic; be able to tolerate a lot of walking, standing, writing, stooping, carrying, talking, seeing, bending, and handling; have speed; a healthy back; be able to be on their feet most of the day.
