Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Supervisor / Manager to join our team at a Top 200 CPA Firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance and planning, with experience in managing client relationships and leading a team. This role is essential in ensuring our clients receive top-notch tax services while contributing to the growth of our firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the tax compliance process for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize clients' tax positions.
- Review and approve federal and state tax returns prepared by staff accountants.
- Manage and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax planning and compliance matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver comprehensive services to clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation preferred.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.Proven experience as a Tax Manager or Supervisor in a CPA firm environment.Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly in the healthcare sector is a plus.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Benefits
