Job Title : PM Laundry Attendant

Reports To : Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor

Position Summary
The PM Laundry Attendant is responsible for the efficient and professional operation of the hotel’s laundry department during the evening shift. This role ensures that all linens, towels, uniforms, and guest items are properly laundered, pressed, folded, and distributed in a timely manner to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate all washers, dryers, ironers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
Sort and load laundry according to fabric type, color, and required washing process.
Inspect linens and towels for stains, tears, or damage and separate items for special treatment or replacement.
Maintain proper levels of detergent, bleach, and other laundry supplies.
Fold, stack, and organize clean linens by department (Housekeeping, Banquets, Food & Beverage, Spa, etc.).
Deliver or stage clean linens for pickup by housekeeping staff.
Keep laundry room, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
Monitor equipment for proper operation and promptly report any malfunctions or maintenance issues.
Assist with linen inventory counts and report shortages or excessive wear.
Follow all hotel safety and sanitation standards, including proper use of PPE.
Support AM Laundry Attendants and Housekeeping team as needed during busy periods.
Complete daily logs and communicate any irregularities to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Schedule
Evening Shift (PM) – 3 : 00 p.m. to 11 : 30 p.m. or as scheduled based on business levels.
Must be available weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods.
Qualifications
Prior laundry or housekeeping experience in a hotel or healthcare setting preferred.
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high service standards.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and laundry equipment operation.
