C.H. Thompson is currently seeking a Production Expeditor to join our dynamic team and support our production operations. As a Production Expeditor, you will be integral in ensuring the flow of work and materials across all departments in effort to maximize throughput & efficiencies in production and to achieve on time delivery goals. Additionally, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to work directly with our Leadership Team, with a clear path for career advancement and professional growth. This position will report to the Director of Operations.

Position Overview
- Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
- Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
- Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
- Help to keep employees on task and promote increased throughput by assisting with racking, prepping, inspecting, material handling, and by gathering proper paperwork and materials needed
- Daily communications with Operations Manager, Customer Service, Quality, and floor personnel to minimize delays in orders or, relay necessary updates regarding customer changes / delays.
- Continuously develop front-line leadership to ensure standards for safety, quality, equipment, and associate performance are maintained while meeting expectations set for production output.
- Interview, hire & train employees; plan, assign and direct work; appraise employee performance, address performance issues, create an open-door environment to address employee concerns and resolve opportunities for improvement.
- Develop business relationships and be a strategic part of the plant leadership team.
- Provide leadership and direction to motivate successful completion of goals and objectives through clear expectations, direction and coaching for the workforce.
- Help maintain a clean work environment and organize storage rooms.
- Resolve paperwork issues - communicate with engineering and the quality team on changes needed or missing documentation.
- Oversee and manage specific customer projects, as assigned.
- Ensure staff is following company policies - report any breach to Operations Manager and / or Human Resources
- Assist Operations Manager with tasks as assigned.
- Must be willing to work flexible work schedules to be available nights, weekends, and after hours if necessary.
Qualifications :
Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.Skills & Competencies :
Attention to Detail :Must be able to multitask while maintaining detail and accuracy .
Communication :Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and / or ideas professionally across all levels of the organization.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proven experience leading successful teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Problem-Solving :Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environment.Ability to independently problem-solve and apply continuous improvement of concepts.Strong analytical skillsTechnical Skills :Strong math and computer skills, ability to use specialized testing tools and machinery.
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Physical Requirements :Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.
Standing : The ability to stand for extended periods of time is crucial.Lifting : Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Mobility : The role requires the ability to bend, stoop, push, pull and reach.Quality Standards : Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.Education Requirements

Wage$20.00-$25.00 per hour
