Job Description : Data Scientist
Huntsman is seeking a Data Scientist supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Finance Manager.
Job Scope
This role will support the Performance Products division by creating business and functional dashboards that provide financial and operational insights. The Data Scientist will work cross-functionally to visualize performance metrics that support strategic decision-making.
In summary, as the Data Scientist, you will :
Collaborate with the Finance Team to provide data visualizations for business and functional performance.
Ensure dashboards reflect up-to-date and accurate data for critical decision-making.
Train users across various functions in dashboard utilization.
Utilize statistical programming tools such as SAS, R, or Python; knowledge of SQL is a plus.
Partner with the Global Reporting Team to align with best practices and shared tools.
Maintain and update existing dashboards and reporting tools.
Design and develop new dashboards to meet evolving functional needs.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications :
Education Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
Experience Required
3+ years of experience in financial analytics or data science.
Skills and Knowledge
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and corporate finance principles.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convert complex data into actionable insights.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments including Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Commercial, and S&OP.
Strong team orientation with the ability to manage a high workload.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial databases such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
Experience training end-users on dashboard usage.
Prior experience in a global corporate environment.
Working Environment
This position is based in a typical office setting at Huntsman's location in The Woodlands, Texas. Periodic collaboration across global teams may require flexible hours.
