Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) School-Based | Lemont, IL

Pay Rate : $40 / hour Contract Length : January May (Approx. 20 weeks) Hours : 32.5 hours / week Start Date : 1 / 6 / 2026 Location : Lemont, Illinois

About the Role

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy services to students in a school setting. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, collecting standardized assessment data, and maintaining documentation for students in grades 13.

Minimum Requirements

• Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Illinois
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• One (1) year of experience as a COTA (preferred)
• Pediatric or school-based experience (preferred)
• CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (per state / contract regulations)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
