Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Physician Assistant Certified located in Williamsburg and Newport News, VA. The Physician Assistant Certified will be responsible for performing comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing, managing, and treating patients with gastroenterological conditions. Daily tasks include obtaining medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and educating patients on disease prevention and health maintenance. The role also involves collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) and current state licensure
  • Experience in gastroenterology preferred
  • Clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Ability to perform diagnostic procedures and use EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team
  • Professionalism and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
