Job Title : Quality Control Technician - Food Industry

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician with a focus on the food industry. This role involves inspecting, testing, and documenting various aspects of fish products to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Trim, test, weigh, and package fish products.
  • Conduct sensory testing, including smelling fish to assess freshness.
  • Take photographs of labels and packaging for documentation purposes.
  • Review and test raw materials and packaging for quality assurance.
  • Document control and prepare inspection reports.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in food quality control.
  • Proficiency in document control and inspection reporting.
  • Ability to conduct sensory testing, including labeling and GMP.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Flexibility with work schedule is required.
  • Ability to work under a supervisor based remotely in Florida.
  • Work Environment

    This position operates within a lab setting, with regular activities involving stepping in and out of coolers to collect samples when shipments arrive. Benefits and a 401K plan are offered after the probationary period.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract position based out of Vernon, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
