Essential Duties And Responsibilities : The Pepsi Route Salesman is directly responsible for :

• The level and quality of service he delivers to customers.
• His assigned helper to assure that he sets the proper example of excellent quality and service.
• The honest and ethical operation of his route.
• Maintaining effective public relations with existing customers and constantly seeking ways to improve service and contain excessive costs.
• Making suggestions to the Pepsi Route Supervisor for increasing profitability and operational efficiency.

Duties include but are not limited to :

Measures Of Performance : The Pepsi Route Salesman will be deemed to be performing satisfactorily when :

Language Skills : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Pepsi-Cola Bottling of Atmore.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Work Environment : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this position, the Pepsi Route Salesman frequently work in outdoor weather conditions and extreme cold. He is regularly exposed to vibration and occasionally is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but sometimes is loud.
