Sr. Manager, Therapy Development

In this position you will play a direct role in supporting the launch of Artivion's comprehensive Aortic Arch portfolio in the US, including the AMDS Hybrid Prosthesis and next generation FET system. Your involvement will span from clinical trial phase through commercial approval and launch. During the clinical study phase, you will be the primary point of contact for investigators providing clinical / technical support of the respective product therapy through remote and / or in-service activities. Leading up to commercial approval and launch, you will lead the design, development, and execution of national and local education and engagement strategies for surgeons / sites as well as the field sales team. The right candidate for this role will be a go-getter, team player, customer-centric, results-oriented, and able to manage shifting priorities in a highly visible and important role to the organization.
Position Responsibilities :
- Provide on-call technical and clinical support to investigators at assigned sites during patient screening, case planning, and device selection
- Coordinate and support investigator meetings and on-site training of study sites
- Ensure adequate investigational device inventory and facilitate device orders throughout enrollment
- Complete any required clinical reports and documentation in a timely manner
- Support any required CT imaging evaluation (via EndoSize) for aortic arch technologies
- Gather investigator feedback on device performance after procedures and immediately report any applicable product failures, performance issues, or customer complaints
- Design, develop, and execute national and local education strategies for the US sales team
- Design, develop, and execute surgeon training and engagement programs in the US
- Identify, establish, and support relationships with key clinical and non-clinical decision-makers
- Develop, foster, and maintain relationships with key external (cardiac surgeon, etc.) and internal (cross functional teams including marketing, sales, clinical, R&D, etc.) partners to ensure successful adoption of new Aortic Arch therapies
- Attend surgical congresses in person or remotely, as necessary
- Travel throughout region (up to 50%, including overnight)
- Other assigned responsibilities (including previously identified tasks being performed at a higher level than one's current title)
Qualifications :
Degree or certification in nursing, life sciences, engineering, or another related field or equivalent7+ years of experience in an applicable clinical environment (cardiovascular care) and / or cardiovascular device (clinical specialist, engineer, product manager) environment requiredStrong clinical acumen with demonstrated ability to apply medical, surgical, and interventional skills and terminologyExperience with cardiovascular device technology (i.e. endovascular and / or hybrid devices) and familiarity interpreting CT scans is highly desirableHighly collaborative and comfortable working closely with customers and with a range of cross-functional business partnersGood organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks through effective prioritizationConsistently pushes self and others to achieve challenging goals and objectives with a track record of executional success based on integrity.
