Backend Platform Engineer

Requirements :

• 5 years of backend engineering experience with a strong track record of scaling production systems.
• Senior or Staff-level capability with experience taking systems from functional to highly scalable and understanding failure points.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems including caching queuing asynchronous processing database optimization and service-oriented architecture.
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL including query optimization indexing and database design.
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure particularly services such as RDS SQS Lambda ECS and other core AWS tools.
• Mindset centered on system resilience reliability and high availability.
• Demonstrated ownership autonomy and ability to drive end-to-end solutions.
• Experience scaling high-volume email systems including deliverability throttling and intelligent sending strategies.
• Background in service extraction from monoliths or work with microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog or New Relic.
• Previous experience in startups or fast-growing environments.
• Fluency in Python or TypeScript.
