Job description

Floor Technician

The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all floor surfaces in a facility, including hard floors and carpets. This role involves operating floor care equipment, performing routine and deep cleaning, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for staff, clients, and visitors. Employee will need to take the shuttle back and forth from the terminal daily if driving. Shift : Thursday thru Monday 10 : 30pm-7am Pay Rate : $17.25 / hour Location : DTW

Basic Qualifications :

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No experience required and on the job training provided
  • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Customer service experience
  • 1 year of similar work experience

    • Responsibilities :

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and buff hard surface floors using industrial equipment.
  • Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets and rugs.
  • Operate and maintain floor care machines such as buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and extractors.
  • Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and storage areas.
  • Assist with general housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Follow facility policies and procedures, including infection control and sanitation standards.
