Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (Days)

Location :  Kingston, PA

Assignment Length : 13 Weeks

Shift : Days, 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM, every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)

Facility / Unit Details :

Facility size : 352 beds

Unit beds : 21

Monthly department volume : 585 patients

Types of services : General Med Surg, Post-Op Surgical, Bariatrics, and Oncology

Patient ratio : 1 : 6 (surge plan max 1 : 7)

May float to MS Tele unit (1 : 6 ratio)

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Overview :

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Travel RN to provide high-quality patient care in a busy Medical-Surgical unit. This role includes general medical administration, post-operative care, and remote tele-monitoring oversight in collaboration with monitor techs.

Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive patient care for general med-surg, post-op, bariatric, and oncology patients.

Monitor patients using tele-monitoring technology, collaborating with monitor techs.

Administer medications and treatments according to care plans and physician orders.

Document patient care accurately in the EMR (Cerner preferred).

Float to MS Tele unit as needed, maintaining patient ratios.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality and safe patient care.

Qualifications :

1–2+ years of Med Surg nursing experience required.

Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience required.

Telemetry experience required.

Current BLS certification required.

Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient management skills.
