JOB SUMMARY : The Production Supervisor is responsible for the successful planning and coordination of activities for Production personnel. They help foster an environment of continuous improvement, goal achievement, and strong camaraderie to increase customer satisfaction, on-time delivery and manufacturing objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Coordinate, plan and review employee activities and job assignments based on equipment, material and supply availability.
  • Monitor equipment performance and requests maintenance as needed to ensure optimal production capabilities.
  • Monitor performance of staff and corrects or modifies production schedule to ensure completion and alignment to monthly revenue goals while maintaining optimal quality to our customers.
  • Review and recommend improvements to production processes by evaluating production, production lot failures and customer returns with Quality and Process Engineering.
  • Be part and support lean implementation strategies such as 5S, Kaizen Events, TPM, Cell Designs and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Lead GEMBA's to ensure daily goals are met and escalate any issues in a timely manner to the team for proper risk mitigation and resolution.
  • Participate in the development of annual manufacturing plans, cost saving measures on production processes and / or materials and provide input to quality improvement teams and product release teams.
  • Develop and support proper communication of KPI's via dashboards or other visual aides to ensure accurate communication of Production status & daily goals.
  • Evaluate employee performance and complete progress and performance assessments.
  • Address employee concerns and work with HR for proper resolution.
  • Advise and make recommendations regarding hiring, training, promotions, and termination of employees.
  • Develop, train, and motivate teams to ensure conformance and help drive a culture of Continuous Improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Education : Associate degree, preferably in Electronics or another technical or business-related field
  • Experience Years : 3-5 years, preferably in an Aerospace environment. Strong Excel experience desired. Microsoft Access experience a plus.
  • Experience Type : Technical or process manufacturing OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100
  • Lean / Six Sigma Certification a plus
  • J-STD-001 and IPC-610 knowledge and certification a plus
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT : Office & Manufacturing Floor
