Litigation Attorney – Construction & Trust / Estate Litigation
Overview :
A respected litigation firm is seeking an Attorney with 3–7 years of experience to support its Construction Litigation and Trust & Estate Litigation practice groups. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a courtroom setting, enjoys complex factual and legal analysis, and wants meaningful responsibility across two high-demand areas of law.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Litigation
- Manage construction-related disputes including construction defect, delay / impact claims, breach of contract, mechanic’s liens, and indemnity matters.
- Handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Work closely with developers, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, sureties, and insurers.
- Conduct site inspections, coordinate expert evaluations, and manage expert discovery.
- Represent clients in state / federal court, mediations, and arbitrations.
Trust & Estate Litigation
Handle contested probate matters such as will contests, trust disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, undue influence allegations, and financial elder abuse.Draft motions, prepare discovery, take / defend depositions, and appear in probate and civil courts.Analyze estate planning documents, financial records, and fiduciary accountings.Work directly with beneficiaries, trustees, fiduciaries, financial institutions, and wealth advisors.Assist with mediation, settlement strategy, and trial preparation.Qualifications
3+ years of litigation experience (construction, trust / estate, probate, or complex civil litigation preferred).Strong research, writing, and motion-practice skills.Experience independently managing cases with partner guidance.Comfort interacting with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.Admission to the relevant state bar.Ability to handle sensitive client situations and complex factual disputes.Why Join This Firm?
