Well-known talent management and production company seeking a highly organized and proactive assistant to provide administrative and departmental support to the Business & Legal Affairs team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to multitask efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule meetings and conference calls for department attorneys
  • Roll calls and manage incoming communications
  • Take accurate call notes and meeting minutes
  • Assist with coordinating events as needed
  • Maintain an extensive digital filing system
  • Track business affairs deals and negotiations through various stages
  • Track legal agreements, including managing contract signatures
  • Work interdepartmentally to ensure accurate tracking and payment of financial obligations
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
  • Learn and support various business and legal affairs processes, including : understanding types of entertainment deals and agreements, compliance with guild requirements, and supporting the flow of deals and agreements through the department

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Interest in building a business-oriented and / or legal career in entertainment
  • This position offers a unique opportunity to see the workings of business and legal across a wide variety of media, as the company is actively involved in the production of feature films, television, digital / new media, music video, and commercials.
