Description : Job Summary :
The Hose Assembly Lead oversees daily operations of the hose assembly department, ensuring efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety procedures. This role is responsible for coordinating workflow, training team members, monitoring performance, and serving as the primary point of contact between assembly staff and management.
Essential Job Functions :
- Plan production schedule within hydraulic assembly cell / paint spray hose assembly cell with the assembly team. Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and adjust work schedules as needed.
- Lead and supervise hose assembly team members to meet production goals.
- Train and mentor new operators to cut, crimp, and assemble hoses for large OEM or paint hose customers.
- Operate, setup, and troubleshoot computer-interfaced assembly equipment and tools.
- Performs the hose assembly process as and when required.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Work efficiently, completing many different tasks.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Demonstrate desire and willingness to perform different tasks.
Requirements :
Qualifications & Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2–3 years of experience in hose assembly or a related manufacturing role, with prior leadership or lead experience preferred.Proficiency with hose cutting, crimping, testing, and related assembly equipment.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read / interpret work orders and technical instructions.Ability to accurately complete production paperwork and enter data into computer systems.Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Commitment to safety, quality, and meeting deadlines.Physical Requirements & Work Environment :
