RECREATION AID II
Part-Time, Variable Hour, $17.66 / Hour
Tooele City is seeking enthusiastic, creative, and responsible individuals to join our team as Recreation Aid II. If you enjoy working with youth, supporting community programs, and being part of a positive, collaborative environment, we'd love to meet you.
As a Recreation Aid II, you will support our Community Engagement Division in planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality programs for children and families. Your responsibilities will include assisting with a variety of programs and events, such as :
Fridays in the Park
Summer Camp
Monthly family events
Support for Tooele City's 4th of July celebration, one of our largest community traditions
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise youth ages 6–12 in a safe, positive, and engaging manner
Assist with program preparation, event set-up and tear-down, and general activity organization
Provide excellent customer service to participants, parents, and community members
Help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all attendees
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED
18 years of age or older
Valid Utah Driver's License held for at least 12 months (excluding learner's permit time) and an acceptable driving record under Tooele City insurance standards
Ability to pass a background check and maintain the City's trust in working with youth
Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Permit
