UI Java / Python Developer, Mid-Level TS / SCI with Poly REQUIRED

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an UI Human Factor Developer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.

The UI Human Factor Developer focuses on designing user interfaces and experiences that are both effective and enjoyable, while also considering human capabilities and limitations. They bridge the gap between technology and human users by applying principles of psychology, engineering, and design to create user-friendly and efficient systems.

This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Must live within a 50-mile radius of the DMV / NCR

Your future duties and responsibilities :

• . Research and Analysis : Conducting user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to understand user needs and behaviors.
• . Design and Prototyping : Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of user interfaces, ensuring they are intuitive and aligned with user expectations. Ability to work independently with coding in either Java or Python.
• . Usability Evaluation : Evaluating the usability of designs through testing and feedback, identifying areas for improvement.
• . Collaboration : Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement and refine designs.
• . Human Factors Integration : Applying human factors principles (e.g., cognitive load, perception, motor skills) to design systems that are safe, efficient, and comfortable for users.
• . Documentation and Reporting : Documenting design decisions, research findings, and usability test results.
