Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 3 years of experience for an inpatient rehabilitation position with acute rehab exposure and Epic charting.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in an acute care hospital in an inpatient rehab unit
  • Work schedule is 5x8 hour day shifts, either Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday, from 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM
  • May require floating to acute rehab settings with appropriate orientation provided
  • Floating between similar units is required
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • Patient ratios are not specified
  • Primary responsibilities include providing physical therapy services to inpatient rehab patients and floating to similar units as needed
  • Block schedules may be accommodated at manager discretion
  • All travelers must be willing to float between facilities within the state
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months and live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible to return as a traveler
  • Requested time off must be included at the time of submission; post-submittal requests may be denied
  • Free parking available on site
  • Scrub color guidelines provided for various departments

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ physical therapy experience required
  • Acute rehab experience preferred; willingness to float to acute rehab required
  • Current and active state physical therapy license required if applicable
  • Experience charting in Epic is required
  • Two supervisory references from within the last three years within a comparable specialty or setting are required
  • SSN, DOB, and required certifications must be provided for consideration
  • Pending licenses not accepted
