Plant Supervisor
Immediate opening for a Plant Warehouse Supervisor in Rochester, New York!
Salary is $68,000$73,000 annually + monthly performance incentives (based on experience). We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations and lead a frontline team in a high-volume distribution environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring safe work practices, consistent productivity, and high-quality output. The supervisor will be responsible for staffing, training, performance management, and fostering a positive, accountable team culture. This is a day shift position.
Responsibilities : - Lead and support warehouse staff to meet production, quality, and safety goals. - Provide hands-on training, coaching, and guidance to team members. - Oversee daily work assignments and monitor progress against operational targets. - Conduct performance evaluations and address performance or behavior issues when necessary. - Ensure employees receive proper training on equipment, procedures, and safety expectations. - Communicate effectively with internal departments, leadership, and external partners. - Complete required accident / incident documentation within established timeframes. - Maintain safe working conditions and intervene promptly to resolve hazards or operational issues. - Utilize structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Why, 8D, or continuous-improvement practices. - Maintain accurate administrative records, reports, and documentation. - Perform additional tasks as directed by plant or operations leadership.
Qualifications : - High school diploma or equivalent. - Basic proficiency in reading, math, and computer use. - Strong communication and leadership abilities. - Experience in a warehouse environment, including forklift operation and material handling. - Demonstrated commitment to safety practices.
Preferred : - Bachelor's degree. - 2-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience. - SAP or similar ERP experience (3+ years preferred). - Background in industrial, distribution, or manufacturing environments. - Familiarity with lean methodologies or quality standards (ISO, continuous improvement). - First Aid / CPR certification.
