Role Summary :
We are looking for a Senior IP Analyst to join our rapidly growing Professional Services team. This role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Professional Service Operations, will be responsible for supporting IP Search and Research Services Projects, and actively involved in analyzing inventions in different technologies and fields, such as healthcare, medical devices, automotive, electronics & communication, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, semiconductors, etc.
This is a remote role for a US based candidate.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage patent and landscape analysis projects to identify R&D trends, technology evolution, alternatives, and competitive activity in key technology domains.
- Deliver and oversee search projects such as state-of-the-art, freedom-to-operate, patentability, invalidity, and market / competitive research.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of professional services projects for clients, ensuring timelines, quality, and clear communication.
- Partner with the Senior Manager, Professional Services to drive process improvements, track key metrics, and resolve delivery bottlenecks.
- Ensure technical excellence in search strategies, oversee search vendor performance, and review research / search reports before client delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline.3+ years of experience in the intellectual property industry and / or legal process outsourcing.Proven experience performing patent searches (patentability, freedom to operate, state of the art, validity, landscapes, competitive intelligence, etc.).Working knowledge of IP laws in key jurisdictions and familiarity with major patent databases and technical domains relevant to your educational background.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.Excellent prioritization, consultative, and analytical skills.Flexible, creative, and innovative mindset, with strong time management and active listening skills.Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.Demonstrated interest in learning new technologies and in conducting research and conceptual development of inventions.Certifications or additional training (in Intellectual Property or related areas) are a plus.Metrics for Success :Client satisfaction : Customer feedback on reportsGrowth in both Search and Research Services Requests QoQRepeat customers% of adoption of Professional Services amongst Commercial teamsWhat You'll Love
