Management Accountant

Description

Halliday Marx are partnering with a fast-growing, forward-thinking marketing business to recruit a permanent Management Accountant.

Hybrid working (3 days a week in, occasionally you may need to go in more so we need flexibility)

Duties

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
• Month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and analyze variance reports against budgets and forecasts.
• Assist in producing cashflow forecasts and support working capital management.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle with accurate and timely data.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with preparation of VAT returns and compliance reporting.
• Handle Accounts Payable and Receivable duties such as posting and processing invoices.
• Reconciled supplier statements and resolved invoice discrepancies or missing documentation.
• Prepared weekly/monthly payment runs and ensured suppliers were paid on time.
• Maintained up-to-date creditor records and monitored outstanding balances.
• Assisted with expense claim processing and ensured compliance with company policies.
• Allocated incoming payments to the correct accounts and reconciled customer ledgers.

Requirements

• Accruals, journals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliation, and month end experience
• Hands on, and comfortable to get stuck in and still take charge of the AP and AR
• Confident with being able to Intermediate excel functions like Vlookup’s and formulaes
• Flexible on office working days, It’s 3 in, but sometimes you will need to go in more
