Job description

LeMay / PCR , a Waste Connections company, is hiring a Union Relief Driver in Frederickson, Washington . This is a great opportunity for CDL drivers looking for local, consistent routes , union wages , and a company that values safety, stability, and work-life balance .

Position Overview

  • Job Title : Union Relief Driver
  • Location : Frederickson, WA

  • Job Type : Full-Time, Union Position
  • Schedule : Monday-Friday, 6 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM

Occasional overtime and Saturdays as needed

Compensation

  • Starting Pay : $33.49 / hour (91% of union scale)
  • Top Scale Pay : $36.50 / hour after 692 hours worked
  • Stable 40-hour workweek with overtime opportunities

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a garbage truck on assigned local routes to collect solid waste
  • Follow route sheets and dispatcher instructions to service customers efficiently
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections , checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment
  • Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse
  • Perform physically demanding tasks , including loading / unloading waste without assistance
  • Interact courteously with customers and represent the company professionally
  • Complete other related duties as assigned

    • Working Conditions

  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects over 50 lbs
  • Exposure to outdoor weather , including rain, heat, and cold
  • Work around moving mechanical parts , fumes, and moderate noise levels
  • Must follow all safety protocols and procedures

    • Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement
  • At least 2 years of relevant driving experience
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic knowledge of truck components and inspection procedures
  • Safety-Sensitive : YES
