Position : Data Analyst

Direct Recruit Agency is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing large sets of data to provide valuable insights and recommendations to our clients.

Top must-have hard skills : Python coding, Python Dash, including the ability to create analytic tools, Business requirements gathering, and the ability to independently execute on requirements. Leverage coding and tool creation industry standards / best practices

Top nice-to-have hard skills : Data Analysis, Data Visualization, and Financial products knowledge

Top 5 soft skills : Communicative (written and verbal), Collaborative Problem Solver, Intellectually curious, Innovative

Team size : 4 + contractor

Key aspects of the role : Participate and collaborate on automation efforts and new technology solutions, expanding our technology platform capabilities to increase self-service, enhance resiliency and improve efficiency; Build technology solutions using Python code and Python Dash including requirements gathering, coding, building analytic tools, and testing to ensure business needs are met; Independently conduct data analysis and visualizations, develop questions that resolve data quality anomalies, and research interpretive inquiries for complex data series, reporters, and data concepts.

Day-to-day Expectations : Automation technology projects will be ongoing, and the work will be independent, with check-ins with management and team members for requirements gathering, direction, and status updates. The individual will be available for ad hoc requests during the day

30-60-90 Day Expectation : 30 day : familiar with the work that we are doing, onboarded to our applications, proposing ideas for structuring our tools 60 day : In the process of producing tools for the team, assisting with ad hoc projects / deliverables 90 day : 2-3 tools have been produced for the team, assisting with ad hoc projects / deliverables

Interview Plan / Process : 2 rounds of interviews (the second interview will be in person)

Full-time onsite with slight flexibility if necessary

  • This person will be part of the Data & Statistics team
  • They are looking for extreme expertise in Python - statistical analysis and financial products background is a nice to have, but they really need a Python expert

soft skills- good communication across all levels (peers, management), taking ownership, etc.

  • Use Python Dash for visualization
  • Participate and collaborate on automation efforts and new technology solutions, expanding our technology platform capabilities to increase self-service, enhance resiliency, and improve efficiency;
  • Independently conduct data analysis and visualizations, develop questions that resolve data quality anomalies, and research interpretive inquiries for complex data series, reporters, and data concepts. This includes providing respondents and stakeholders guidance on technical reporting issues.

  • Perform extended analysis and question respondents on data quality items of note related to complex reports and institutions. Establish and lead dialogue with financial institutions to enhance data quality and controls;
  • Summarize multiple sources of information concerning data collections and relationships of varying sizes and degrees of complexity to produce well-supported and influential analyses and inquiries.

  • Research inquiries and reporting issues, and propose sound conclusions based on reporting instructions and guidance;
  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders; assess and respond to requests on data collection operations and analysis of institutions' reporting practices;
  • Participate in Function and System workgroups as assigned

    Qualification :

  • Relevant work experience in a financial, economic, or analytic role;
  • Proficiency with and ability to code using Python, and ability to create tools and analytics using Python Dash, and proficiency using Git to create and manage code repositories are required.

  • Strong demonstrated understanding of U.S. and global capital and money markets structure and products (e.g., Equities, Private Equity, Repurchase agreements, debt, etc.);
  • Experience in analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, operational excellence, communication (written and verbal), stakeholder management, interpersonal, and self-management skills;
  • Experience in business intelligence, financial markets and products, regulatory reporting, or data analytics.

  • Ability to provide efficient and accurate verbal and written analysis;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
