Senior Catering Manager

Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a Senior Catering Manager responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering operations at North Carolina A&T State University. This role ensures the successful execution of events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions, delivering exceptional service and culinary excellence to university departments, student organizations, and external clients.

North Carolina A&T State University is the largest Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the United States, with an enrollment of over 13,000 studentsand growing. As the university continues to expand both academically and operationally, its foodservice program is evolving to meet the needs of a vibrant campus community. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive, innovative, and creative team as the Senior Catering Manager.

What You'll Do

Event Planning & Execution : Coordinate and manage catering services for a variety of events including conferences, receptions, academic functions, and student activities.

Menu Development : Collaborate with culinary leadership to design diverse, innovative menus that accommodate client preferences, dietary needs, and special requests.

Client Relationship Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Build strong relationships with university departments, faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Scheduling & Logistics : Oversee all catering bookings, schedules, and timelines. Ensure the seamless delivery of services in alignment with event specifications.

Team Leadership : Recruit, train, schedule, and manage catering staff to ensure professional, efficient service. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Financial Oversight : Monitor budgets, control costs, and implement strategies to drive profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.

Quality Assurance : Ensure excellence in food quality, presentation, and customer service. Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and university guidelines.

Inventory & Equipment Management : Oversee logistical planning including transportation, supply ordering, and coordination of rental equipment and setup.

Continuous Improvement : Analyze client feedback and operational performance to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for service enhancement.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in catering, food production, or food service management or a related field
