Job descriptionMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering. Proven ability to create, convert & modify drawings with AutoCAD Electrical or Engineering Base software. Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL and NEMA standards for MV Switchgear. Experience with electrical design for medium voltage switchgear. Experience programming in VBA. Experience working with macro creation, modification or revision in AutoCAD or Engineering Base. Work with engineering project team to create / modify all electrical drawings for customer approval and manufacturing of Medium Voltage switchgear. Typical drawings include : ? One line diagrams ? Panel arrangement ? Nameplate schedule ? Electrical schematics ? Three line drawings ? Wiring diagrams Utilize the AUTOCAD / Engineering Base software to prepare drawing packages with a high degree of accuracy. Initiate effective quality audits in both technical and procedural aspects to ensure high precision drawings are transferred to manufacturing facility and customer. Utilize knowledge of various electrical CAD software to complete project work and drive efficiency with process improvements. Be a technical project leader taking full ownership of the overall project design. Provide factory support during the manufacturing of respective projects to ensure the final deliverable is true to the customer design. Lead efforts to improve team processes and tools to drive up overall team efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelors' Degree in the field of Electrical Engineering.
- 3- 8 years of proven experience working with the design / configuration electrical power distribution products and systems.
- 3 - 8 years of Electrical CAD design / drafting experience in protection & control or engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of standard protection & control technologies used in medium voltage power distribution products with willingness to share this knowledge with others.
