The hospital features modern equipment and technologies with strong specialty support, particularly in neonatology, and maintains a streamlined transfer process through UCSF for complex cases.

Opportunity :

Board Eligible / Certified - Pediatric Hospitalist

Job Details :

• 24-hour shifts from 8am to 8am with in-house coverage
• Coverage needed for 4-7 shifts per month
• Responsibilities include attendance at high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation
• Perform well-baby rounding and provide NICU coverage at night
• Handle ED consults and pediatric admissions on a case-by-case basis
• Required skills include intubation (newborn and pediatric), central line placement, UVC, and needle pneumothorax decompression
• EKG interpretation skills required
• Must have NRP certification
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Supportive environment for new graduates with strong neonatology support
• Average of 24 patient encounters per shift
• Credentialing timeframe is 90-120 days
• Must have current license in California
• Privileging requires 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty
• Gaps greater than 3 months in practice must be explained
