Hello humankindness Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles.DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrows healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students. Responsibilities :
The Medical Assistant (MA) Lead is responsible for knowing his / her professional scope of practice. The MA Lead maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment, and performs patient care services that
support the physician / provider's practice under the clinical supervision of the Physician, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, physicians assistant or licensed Vocational Nurse. This includes assisting in
prepping patients for examinations or procedures, assisting with procedures, relaying instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person, and collecting patient data. Documenting patient
concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patients medical record for the physician's review. Administrating medications specifically directed by the physician and performing
accurate vital sign measurements and documentation. The lead is responsible for overseeing the day- to-day operations of the back office and other duties as assigned by the area manager.
Qualifications : MINIMUM
High School Diploma / GED - High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or completion of an U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program. Candidates who
completed a program prior to February 2, 2000 can satisfy the minimum education requirements by providing evidence of direct supervision by the same physician, physician group, or physician assistant for
a minimum of 2000 hours to satisfy the minimum education requirements.
Six (6) month's experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant along with demonstrated experience with computer program utilized for checking-in and scheduling patients.
American Heart Association BLS
PREFERRED
One year of previous MA experience highly preferred.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
Previous experience in designated specialty
Bilingual skills
