- Research Scientist to independently perform basic research in cardiovascular disease; performs experiments and collects data;
- develops devices or techniques for studies, including experimental techniques, hardware, software, statistical methods, etc;
prepares research result reports; supports data publication; actively participate in developing grant proposals; participates in determining research priorities and planning research programs.
Demonstrated ability to be a competent and productive researcher as evidenced by several peer-reviewed professional publications;
knowledge of sophisticated research techniques in cardiac physiology required; experience with mammalian surgical techniques.
Experience with rodent survival surgery, cardiac echocardiography and cardiac pressure-volume hemodynamics preferred.
Requires successful completion of a background check; Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
