American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with Level 1 trauma and telemetry experience for an inpatient position requiring pre and post-procedure skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Inpatient PACU setting within a Level I Trauma and teaching hospitalCare for patients pre and post Cath Lab and IR proceduresNurse to patient ratio is typically 1 : 2 in the PACU and 1 : 3-5 when floating to the holding areaDay shift position with 4x12-hour shifts from 10 : 00 to 22 : 30Weekend coverage required one weekend per monthOn-call requirement of 1-2 overnight shifts per month on a 4-week scheduleFloating to the PACU holding area required within scopeCerner EMR is utilizedProvide pre and post-anesthesia care for cardiovascular and interventional radiology patientsWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity, academic environmentBlack scrubs requiredParking is free for staffBlock scheduling is not accommodatedApproved RTO greater than 7 days requires client approval; no RTO allowed 12 / 24 or 12 / 25Holiday time-off requests are limited to one designated holiday bundleCompliance documents must be completed promptly; drug screening requiredPerm employees may return as travelers if separated from the system for at least 12 months\n \n Requirements\n
Active NM or compact state RN license (license may be pending at time of consideration)Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including Level 1 trauma and telemetry unit experienceBLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (No RQI certifications accepted)COVID vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions considered with appropriate documentationMust reside more than 75 miles from the facilityPre and post Cath Lab / IR procedural experience requiredFirst-time travelers accepted upon client screening\n Benefits\n
