Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit is growing! A well-established and leading law firm specializing in the representation of condominium and homeowner associations is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience. Qualified candidates must be licensed in Indiana and possess litigation experience. Mediation and arbitration experience preferred.

Must be able to independently handle court appearances, trials, depositions, and drafting of litigation pleadings. Knowledge of the Indiana Homeowners Association Act and / or the Indiana Condominium Act preferred, but not required. Knowledge and / or experience with Landlord Tenant law preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal). Must be comfortable working independently yet be a team player.

Business hours for this exempt position are 8 : 30am to 4 : 30pm, Monday through Friday. The starting salary for this role is $100,000, contingent upon level of experience. Requirements :

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Court appearances on behalf of clients throughout Central Indiana.
  • Drafting pleadings and briefs, drafting and responding to written discovery, and conducting depositions.
  • Provide litigation status updates to clients.
  • Advise clients on all aspects of the litigation procedure, including settlement.
  • Travel throughout the Indianapolis metro area required.
  • Any other duties as necessary or required.
