About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 4-day locum tenens assignment in South Dakota. This opportunity begins on Jan 1, 2026, with 24-hour shifts and requires the provider to serve as the sole practitioner in the emergency department. Candidates with rural emergency department and sole provider experience are preferred.

South Dakota license requiredBoard certifications accepted : Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent CareAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications requiredExperience in rural ED and as a sole provider is preferredUtilizes an EMR system other than AspenBenefits
