The Role

We're on the lookout for a skilled and thoughtful Senior Software Engineer to become part of our expanding engineering team.

In this role, you will develop and maintain our applications, engage with high-impact projects, and provide technical leadership and mentorship. You'll work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to create top-notch features, improve existing systems, and tackle technical debt, while expertly integrating AI into the CompanyCam experience.

Your responsibilities will include addressing traditional software engineering challenges and pioneering advanced features utilizing large language models (LLMs) and intelligent systems that streamline complex workflows, enhancing user experiences.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and deliver intricate, cross-functional features and systems utilizing Ruby on Rails, React, React Native, Postgres, and REST.
• Lead the development of features driven by LLMs and intelligent systems, incorporating smart automation into user workflows.
• Architect and scale AI-driven systems through prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and workflow orchestration.
• Proactively identify and address technical debt, enhance reliability, and evolve system architecture to accommodate scalable AI integration.
• Lead by example in code reviews, mentoring colleagues, and sharing best practices for AI-enabled feature integration and assessment.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to shape feature direction, translate concepts into technical plans, and deliver high-quality work.
• Enhance internal tooling, CI / CD pipelines, and observability for AI systems and model performance.
• Develop, maintain, and automate evaluations to rigorously assess and improve the reliability and reasoning capabilities of intelligent systems.

Benefits & Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary, with a range between $165,000 - $215,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additional meaningful equity and other benefits are also available.
