Psychiatry - Academic opening in AL - J1 & H1b Visas sponsored! - Located in Muscle Shoals, AL (120m from Nashville, TN) - Full-time, employed position - Academic : Residency Program - Inpatient - BE / BC About the role : Facility located in Muscle Shoals, Alabama (1 hour west of Huntsville) is actively pursuing a BC / BE Psychiatrist to join our faculty. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in our ground-breaking Psychiatric Residency Program, serving as an integral part of the teaching faculty.

This interactive program facilitates comprehensive hands-on experience and education for residents and medical students, giving them the opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of psychiatric patients. Our hospital houses the Mental Health Crisis Unit, an acute psychiatric stabilization facility with a 20-bed capacity.

We cater to patients aged between 19 and 68 who are undergoing mental health crises that necessitate inpatient care. Our clientele includes both voluntary admissions and those involuntarily evaluation and treatments ordered by probate courts via the Alabama Department of Mental Health. Our unit provides a spectrum of care services pharmacotherapy, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy, delivered by qualified social workers and therapists, appropriate to the demands of an acute care environment.
