Operations Manager, Asset Protection
As a key team member, you will drive data-driven decision-making and operational excellence. Responsibilities include data collection, analysis, and visualization to solve business problems, ensuring data quality, developing business cases, and implementing technological changes. Your expertise in asset protection and compliance will maintain a secure environment. You will also lead efforts to improve employee health and safety, coordinate emergency responses, and ensure OSHA compliance. Effective communication and feedback will foster a dynamic collaborative team. This role requires a proactive, analytical mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement within our grocery network refrigeration environments.
What You'll Do
Leverage data and technology to identify problems, determine root causes using data, develop and implement technology changes, and create dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders and leadership.
Drive business solutions to provide recommendations to solve complex business issues, develop business cases with projected ROI or cost savings, align business requirements to overall strategy, and recommend new processes.
Ensure environmental compliance by supporting regulatory visits, preparing audit reports, implementing environmental policies, ensuring compliance with legislation, and integrating environmental considerations into process design.
Maintain operational excellence by explaining key operational functions and their relevance to the enterprise strategy, identifying and documenting SOPs and OBW processes, and recommending improvements to existing operational processes.
Enhance asset protection by conducting investigations, recognizing security breaches and thefts, implementing and monitoring access control and emergency services, generating and analyzing loss and shrinkage reports, and developing prevention practices.
Collaborate and communicate effectively by engaging with team members and stakeholders, establishing credibility, presenting complex information clearly to various audiences, and assembling and preparing structured reports and materials based on relevant data.
Influence and feedback by influencing team members and leaders to act based on sound recommendations, seeking and providing constructive feedback, anticipating needs / questions, and responding appropriately.
Ensure employee health and safety by coordinating with emergency responders, evaluating facility environments against OSHA guidelines, improving health and safety processes, enforcing compliance with OSHA standards, designing emergency evacuation plans, and educating employees on health and safety hazards.
Drive process improvement by defining critical workflows, identifying process problems, focusing on significant issues to maximize efficiency, implementing methods for process improvement, and coaching team members to develop process improvement skills.
What You'll Bring
Data collection and analysis : Proficiency in data collection modes, techniques, and tools, with a strong ability to identify problems and determine root causes using data.
Data visualization and governance : Expertise in data visualization tools and techniques, creating dashboards for stakeholders and leadership, and ensuring data quality and governance.
Operational excellence : Deep understanding of organizational processes, root cause analysis techniques, and the ability to identify and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Asset protection : Knowledge and experience in asset protection policies, practices, and guidelines, with the ability to conduct investigations, recognize security breaches, and implement prevention practices.
Collaborative communication : Strong communication skills to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders, present complex information clearly, and provide constructive feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years' experience in Retail, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing environment. Option 1 : Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Occupational Safety Management, Audit, or related field, AND 1 years' experience in the field of Asset Protection, Audit, Investigations, or Environmental, Health and Safety within Supply Chain, Retail, and Manufacturing, or related field. Option 2 : 3 years' experience in the field of Asset Protection, Audit, Investigations, Safety or Environmental, Health and Safety within Supply Chain, Retail, Manufacturing, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
1 or More Certifications such as Loss Prevention Certification (LPC), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Associate Safety Professional; Certified Safety Professional; or Non-degreed certifications Certified Safety Manager; or related. Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint and OneDrive
