Job Summary :

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in our IMC2 (Intermediate Care) unit . This role is designed for nurses with strong step-down or intermediate care experience who can provide high-quality, compassionate care to acutely ill patients requiring close observation and advanced nursing interventions.

Candidates will interview for Intermediate Care level RN positions. ICU-trained nurses are welcome to apply if they are comfortable working in an IMC-level environment.

ICU-trained nurses are welcome to apply if they are comfortable working in an IMC-level environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\nProvide direct and comprehensive patient care to adults requiring intermediate-level monitoring and interventions.\n\nContinuously assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex medical conditions.\n\nMonitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms; respond appropriately to patient condition changes.\n\nAdminister medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.\n\nCollaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes and safe transitions of care.\n\nEducate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.\n\nDocument all care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR.\n\nMaintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and nursing best practices.\n\nQualifications : \n\nActive Texas (TX) RN license – required prior to start.\n\n1.5–2 years of prior PCU RN experience – required.\n\nBLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications – required.\n\nEpic charting experience – required.\n\nFirst-time travelers accepted – supportive onboarding provided.\n\nICU-trained RNs welcome if willing to work at the IMC level.\n\nStrong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills essential.
