The ability to lift up to 70 lbs is essential for this role, as drivers often need to handle heavy packages. Additionally, a valid driver's license, without the need for a commercial driver's license (CDL), is required, as well as passing the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
Excellent customer service and driving skills are crucial in this position, as drivers interact with customers on a daily basis. They must be able to effectively communicate with customers, handle complaints, and provide solutions in a timely and professional manner.
A legal right to work in the United States is also required, as drivers will be working directly with customers and handling sensitive information.
Full-time casual package delivery drivers typically work eight to ten hours per day, Monday through Friday, or Tuesday through Saturday, depending on business needs. This flexible schedule allows drivers to balance their work and personal life while still meeting the demands of the job.
