Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Peoria, Illinois 61637 Facility Type : Acute Cardiac Intermediate Unit (CVICU / Cardiac ICU) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Start Date : October 31, 2025 End Date : January 30, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour days (7a-7p), 3 shifts / week Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week Schedule : Rotating weekends and holidays Charting System : EPIC EMR Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,880 - $2,020 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois RN license or proof of application in process Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or Cardiac ICU nursing experience BLS certification (AHA required) ACLS preferred; CCRN or PCCN certification a plus Proficient in titrating cardiac drips (dopamine, dobutamine, levophed, etc.) Skilled in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and managing advanced lines (Swan Ganz, CVC, arterial lines) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills CVICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac stepdown and ICU patients, including those with advanced cardiac devices and ventilatory support Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes promptly Titrate and manage multiple cardiac drips and medications according to protocols Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Float to other units within the hospital, including ICU, as needed Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in a high-stress healthcare setting Adhere to all facility protocols, including dress code and drug-free campus policies Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Peoria, Illinois!
