Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Acute Care Float RN with a current CA RN license and travel nursing experience for a day shift position.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an Acute Care Float Pool within a hospital setting
  • May float to Telemetry units based on need and ICU census
  • Day shifts with a schedule of 3x12 hours from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00
  • On-call responsibilities as needed based on census
  • Every other weekend required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Must adhere to the Nursing Process and hospital policy for Intensive Care patients
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership for safe care delivery
  • Responsible for delegating patient care according to experience and education level of staff
  • Return staff must have at least one year since previous employment to be eligible as a traveler
  • Only one holiday time-off will be approved during the assignment
  • A 50-mile radius from the facility applies for eligibility
  • Modules to be completed during orientation via e-learning

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience required
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (all AHA and in hand)
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Skills in IABP, Impella, and PIRRT preferred
