Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Job Description & Requirements

Job Details :

  • Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
  • Must have PICU experience - this is a requirement
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
  • Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
  • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
  • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
  • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
  • Required certifications : Current RN License (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact), Basic Life Support (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association)
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Computer skills necessary
