Job description

We are currently seeking Academic Coaches for K-12 grades to join our team!

We are Best Foot Forward, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting foster and at-risk students in Palm Beach County. Coaches meet with BFF students weekly, at their schools, during the school day. Our program is based on providing one-on-one academic support, guidance, motivation, and so much more.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference!

Details :

  • Job Type : Full-time (40 hours) and / or Part-time (24 or 28 hours per week) positions available
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday between 8 : 00 AM and 4 : 00 PM (flexible within that window)
  • Location : Various schools across Palm Beach County (reliable transportation required). Gas stipend will be provided
  • Compensation : $21.00 - $25.00 hourly rate
  • Benefits : Benefits available for full-time coaches
  • Note : Our part-time position is not designed to supplement a full-time teaching position.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide one-on-one academic coaching to middle and high school students
  • Support students in developing organizational, study, and learning strategies
  • Track and review student grades on a weekly basis
  • Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to support student success
  • Support students in developing organizational, study, and learning strategies
  • Implement various teaching techniques to match a student's learning style as well as using incentives and goal-setting strategies to motivate student progress
  • Identify learning patterns and address academic challenges
  • Assist students with assignments and secure tutors as needed

    • Qualifications :

  • Teaching experience required for K-7, preferred for 8-12
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and patient
