Duties and Responsibilities

Veritas NetBackup

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' overall customer facing experience ideally providing enterprise-level technical support and advanced troubleshooting methodologies on Veritas NetBackup and Appliances or other BUR tools.

Extensive experience with Veritas NetBackup, specifically with versions 8.3 and 10.3.

Proven track record of performing NBU upgrades and managing NBU environments.

Expert level knowledge in Veritas NetBackup Appliances (ideally Flex Appliances) required.

Strong understanding of backup and recovery principles, practices, and technologies.

Scripting knowledge for automating tasks

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

A strongly self-motivated person with the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision is a must.

Due to frequent customer meetings, technical TOI's, technical and political escalations, etc., exceptional verbal and written communications skills and being well organized are required.

Exceptional presentation and a proactive customer service mentality is a must.

Preferred Experience not required :

Experience with Veritas InfoScale is a plus.

Experience / Knowledge with Veritas NBU Cloudscale is a plus

Experience with Veritas FlexScale experience highly desired but not required

Preferred Certifications such as Veritas Certified Professional (VCP), MCSE, VCAP, RHCE, and Any cloud certs ( Azure), etc. are a definite plus.

Familiarity with cloud-based backup solutions and architectures.

Compensation : $80.00 per hour
