Experience with telemetry and ventilators 2. Proficient in the use of specialty equipment including CRRT, ECMO, Impella, IABP 3. Ability to manage arterial lines, central lines, and pulmonary artery catheters 4. Experience in blood product administration, continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade Description : The position requires a registered nurse to work in the Medical ICU. The nurse will provide care for critically ill patients at a 1 : 2 nurse-patient ratio. The role may require floating to other ICUs, PCUs, or the emergency department as needed. Nurses will be expected to handle a variety of post-operative and medical conditions including but not limited to sepsis, ARDS, and cardiac-related diagnoses. Patient demographics predominantly include adults. Daily census in the unit averages around 24 patients, with a total of 24 beds available. The facility is a Level I Trauma and Teaching facility, providing a supportive interdisciplinary environment that includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy support. Daily responsibilities will include monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Floating to different units may be necessary based on facility needs. Additionally, the candidate must be able to perform various clinical procedures and utilize advanced medical technology. Compliance with COVID vaccination policies is mandatory, with exemptions allowed upon completion of appropriate forms. Pre-approved time off may be limited, and requests must be submitted according to facility guidelines.
