Your Role as a Physical Therapist Assistant :

As a PTA, you will :

  • Follow state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, ensuring compliance with the treatment plan set by the supervising PT.
  • Instruct and assist patients in various exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, and activities of daily living (ADL).
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment, coordinating care with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about therapy practices within your scope of work.

    • License Requirements :

  • Current license, registration, or certification to assist in the practice of physical therapy in your state.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation or public transit.
