Surgical Technologist

• About Facility :

o   Ambulatory / Outpatient Surgery Center

o   # of ORs / PreOp / Recovery Beds : 3

o   Average # of patient seen daily : varies, no more than 15

o   Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year - Ortho and GYN experience is highly preferred

o   Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes

o   Ambulatory Surgery : Orthopedic specialty preferred. Sports, Total Joints, General, Upper Extremity cases at a free-standing ASC with new GYN Service line

o   Surgical Tech : BLS and graduation from an accredited program; CST is preferred but not required

o   Strong Orthopedic experience highly preferred

o   Competency and comfortability to scrub the following cases : Sports, Total Joints, General, Upper Extremity

o   # of Surgeons? 14

o   Lead Tech

o   Clinical Supervisor

o   OR RNs

o   CRNA / Anesthesia team

o   Scheduler

o   EMR : Amkai

▪          None

o   Orientation period will be dependent on comfort level – typically 1 week

o   Weekend rotation : None

o   No call

o   Will work holidays if scheduled (closed for major holidays)

o   RTO Requests : Manager approval

o   Shift times : times may vary between 0630 and 1700 depending on cases scheduled

o   Schedule cycle : ex) every 4 weeks

o   Scrub Color : Surgical scrubs (provided)

o   Parking : Free

o   Unit Culture : team oriented, group activities outside of work
