Summary
The recruitment for this position is open to ONLY King County Metro Employees
The Customer Information Technological Resources and Solutions (CITRS) team within King County Metro's Mobility Division, Customer Communication and Services (CCS) Section is seeking an innovative, customer-focused professional to join our team working on-site at the Transit Control Center (TCC) to provide real-time communication for the public. As part of the on-site CS II team, you will play a vital role in enhancing rider experience by quickly gathering, analyzing, distilling, and disseminating transit service information including planned and unplanned service disruptions, and emergencies using various information systems, channels, platforms, and applications.
This recruitment will be used to fill four (1) Special Duty Assignment position that is expected to last until 12 / 31 / 2025 but may be extended depending on funding. This recruitment may be used to generate a pool for future Special Duty Assignment (SDA) positions that may occur in this classification. The eligibility pool list is valid for up to 12 months from date of posting and may be used at the discretion of the hiring authority. Career Service employees that have passed the probationary period in their current position are eligible for the SDA position.

Work Schedule
Multiple shifts covering from 5am to 8pm, Mon-Friday with Weekend coverage from 9am to 530pm. The position is subject to the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore eligible for overtime pay if scheduled.
Work Location
The primary location of the position Transit Control Center (TCC) in the SODO area of Seattle and other sites as assigned. There is some hybrid (teleworking and in the office) work as determined by Metro's needs. The work associated with this position will be performed or conducted through a combination of onsite and remote work. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
