Distribution Planner (San Diego)

We are partnering with a Japanese electronic components manufacturer seeking to add a Distribution Planner to their team. The distribution planner position is an entry level role with someone who has strong motivation to grow in the supply chain industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage outbound shipments, order releases, and urgent delivery requests
• Monitor inbound shipments; report delays and file claims for lost / damaged goods
• Conduct monthly transit time analysis and logistics reporting
• Allocate inventory during supply-constraint periods and coordinate with planning teams
• Maintain logistics data, warehouse reports, and invoices
• Process internal orders for excess stock and monitor transfers
• Handle carrier plate orders, forecasts, pricing updates, and RMAs
• Support cross-dock / in-bond documentation, 3PL data reviews, and monthly reporting
• Provide team backup and assist with additional tasks as needed
