(Pensacola, FL) : Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Offshore Electrical Superintendent.
Essential Duties :
- Ensure all production operations are conducted safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to Foremen and production staff.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily reports on project status and timekeeping.
- Ensure electrical codes, procedures, and job routers are available and followed on-site.
- Manage communication between onshore and offshore crews regarding project needs and changes.
- Oversee and develop personnel, including training, evaluations, and credential requirements.
- Conduct site visits to offshore vessels and rigs to ensure quality of workmanship.
- Monitor and support contractor activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Develop project plans, mobilization listings, and resource allocation for electrical needs.
- Conduct and document employee training for safety and electrical operations.
- Assist with recruitment of qualified personnel for the department.
- Supervise electrical commissioning activities for critical equipment.
- Report defects and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Participate in incident investigations and enforce corrective actions.
- Liaise directly with Project Managers and clients regarding targets, requirements, and status updates.
- Maintain compliance with non-discrimination, anti-harassment, and safety policies.
- Manage electrical / production budgets, schedules, and operational goals.
- Administer discipline fairly in consultation with Human Resources.
- Ensure compliance with HSE rules, regulations, and company procedures at all times.
Requirements / Skills :
Minimum 3 years offshore experience.Associate degree in electrical trade or equivalent trade school education.5 years of project management experience.Knowledge of IEEE, Coast Guard, ABS, and related codes and practices.Ability to read, interpret, and apply specifications, blueprints, and job orders.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in preparing reports, maintaining schedules, and ensuring quality standards.Ability to read and write correspondence and perform mathematical calculations using both standard and metric systems.Physical Requirements :
Must be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights above 12’.Ability to bend, squat, turn head, and work at multiple levels (waist, eye, overhead).Ability to lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.Must be able to safely climb stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps.Exposure to loud noise, outside weather, heat, moving mechanical parts, and chemicals; PPE must be used correctly.Must be able to tour all vessels and worksites as required.Equal Opportunity Statement :
