$28.00 per hour (commensurate with experience & NY Prevailing Wage Requirements, where applicable)Job Type : Full-timeWhat You'll Do : As an AV Installation Technician, you'll play a key role in bringing spaces to lifeclassrooms, conference rooms, stadiums, and more. You'll be responsible for installing and commissioning AV systems and components to the highest quality AVIXA standards while maintaining ITC's reputation for professionalism and integrity.Your day-to-day may include : Installing AV systems including cabling, speakers, displays, projectors, and racksTerminating and testing audio / video / data connectionsInterpreting and executing work based on diagrams and technical drawingsDrilling, lifting, and mounting equipment safely and securelyOperating lifts and working at heights of 20+ feetAssisting with inventory, jobsite prep, cleanup, and client handoffSupporting and mentoring less experienced technicians when neededPerforming additional tasks and punch-list items as requiredWhat You Bring to the Table : Required : 1+ year of hands-on experience installing commercial AV systems in business or higher education environmentsWillingness to obtain your CTS within 6 months and CTS-I within 1 year of your start date (ITC provides training and support resources to help you achieve these milestones)Valid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders / liftsFamiliarity with AV signal flow, rack building, cabling standardsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsComfort working independently and as part of a teamBasic computer proficiency (Google Workspace, MS Office, etc.)Ability to learn new tasks quicklyExperience and comfort with hand tools, small power tools, and industrial tools.
